Super Smash Bros. Melee

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Released: 2001
Console: Nintendo GameCube
Developer: HAL Laboratory

Super Smash Bros. Melee is a fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the GameCube in 2001. Up to four players pick from 26 characters from Nintendo’s series and try to knock each other off the stage, with damage percentages instead of health bars.

It added many characters, stages and single-player modes to the Nintendo 64 original, including Adventure mode, Event matches and hundreds of collectable trophies. It became the best-selling GameCube game, and its fast movement made it a lasting competitive game that is still played at tournaments, most often online through the Slippi project.

Native ports: melee-pc, a decompilation-based port for Windows, Linux, macOS and Android.
