What you need: Pokémon Colosseum for the GameCube, North American version (GC6E01, revision 0), as an `.iso` or `.gcm` image made from your own disc. The bonus disc is not the game, and CISO, RVZ and GCZ images need converting to ISO first, which Dolphin does with Convert File. A 64-bit Windows, macOS or Linux computer with an internet connection for setup, and about 4 GB free for the optional HD textures.

This native PC port of Pokémon Colosseum is compiled from the pkmn-colosseum decompilation of the North American release, with the renderer from chasem-dev's Super Mario Sunshine port standing in for the GameCube's graphics. The downloads are the Colosseum Launcher, which fetches the build tools, compiles the port on the player's own computer and then reads the game's data from the player's disc image. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux; on Apple silicon Macs the game itself runs through Rosetta.

By default the game runs at 60 frames per second in a picture as wide as the window, with the rendering resolution raised four times. The launcher offers graphics presets from Low to Ultra and one for the Steam Deck, Vulkan or OpenGL, anti-aliasing, filtering, optional HD textures (every texture in the game upscaled four times) and HD models, and a setting to skip the movies. Dolphin custom texture packs work unchanged. Keys and controller buttons can be remapped, GameCube controllers on a USB adapter are read directly, and holding L and R fast-forwards at four times speed.

The launcher can add the game to Steam as a non-Steam game, imports Dolphin saves exported as `.gci` files, and makes dated save backups before and after playing. It contains no game data and needs the North American disc image, dumped from your own disc.

## How to set it up

1. Download the Colosseum Launcher for your system: the `.exe` installer or the portable `.exe` for Windows, the `.dmg` for macOS or the `.AppImage` for Linux.
2. On Linux, allow the `.AppImage` to run as a program. On macOS, drag Colosseum Launcher into Applications before opening it; setup may ask for Apple's Command Line Tools and, on Apple silicon, Rosetta.
3. In the launcher, choose a folder for the setup files, select your disc image and begin setup. The launcher downloads its build tools and the HD textures and builds the game on your computer, which takes a while the first time.
4. When setup finishes, press Play. Display, graphics and control options are under the launcher's Settings.
