Pikmin
Pikmin is a real-time strategy game developed by Nintendo EAD and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, released for the GameCube in 2001. Captain Olimar crash-lands on an unknown planet and has 30 days before his life support runs out to find the 30 missing parts of his ship.
He cannot do it alone, so he grows and commands Pikmin, small plant-like creatures that carry objects, fight, build bridges and knock down walls. Red Pikmin resist fire, yellow ones can be thrown higher and carry bombs, and blue ones can swim. Each day ends at sunset, so the player has to plan how to split the Pikmin between tasks. Its success led to Pikmin 2 in 2004 and more sequels.
