Ikaruga is a vertical shoot 'em up developed by Treasure. It began in arcades in 2001, and the GameCube version came out in 2003.

The ship can switch between white and black polarity at any time. Bullets of the same colour are absorbed, and the other colour does double damage, which turns every stage into a puzzle.
