Overview
ReTiP is a native port of Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise for Windows, made by static recompilation with the ReXGlue SDK. Its main aim is modding and quality-of-life features rather than low-end performance.
It has a built-in mod manager with texture, shader, audio, data and Lua script mods and a Thunderstore browser, unlocked frame rates with caps and VSync, custom aspect ratios, quality presets, a partially unlimited garden, and fixes for the ice shader and other effects that break in Xenia. The project has a strict no-AI rule.
It is early and Windows-only; Linux and macOS are planned. It needs a fairly strong PC (16 GB RAM, a GTX 1660 Ti or better). The download contains no game data. It needs Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise for Xbox 360, dumped from your own disc.
How to Set It Up
- Download the zip and extract it.
- Run
retip.exeand select your ISO when asked; the game files are extracted from it. - Press F4 for the settings menu and F5 to manage mods, including the built-in Thunderstore mod browser.
