Overview
Splatterhouse Recompiled is a native PC port of Splatterhouse, Namco Bandai’s 2010 reboot of the arcade horror brawler, from its Xbox 360 release. The game’s code is translated to C++ with the ReXGlue SDK and compiled for Windows, so it runs at native speed without an emulator.
The developer describes it as playable from start to finish: the menus, the whole campaign and the DLC work, at 60 FPS, with localized text. Ultrawide screens are matched automatically, so 21:9 and 32:9 render natively without stretching, and internal resolution presets run from 540p to 1080p, with FSR upscaling to the window. The port’s own options screen, opened with F5, is styled after the game (its labels are in Spanish for now), and further keys open an FPS overlay, the runtime settings and an achievements list. It plays with an Xbox-compatible controller.
The download contains no game code or data. The bundled installer extracts the player’s own ISO and prepares it, and a shader cache shipped with the release avoids most first-time stutter.
How to Set It Up
