Unleashed Recompiled
What you need: Sonic Unleashed for Xbox 360 (USA or Europe) with its title update, dumped from your own disc or digital copy; the DLC Adventure Packs are optional.
Unleashed Recompiled is a native port of the Xbox 360 version of Sonic Unleashed for Windows and Linux, made by hedge-dev through static recompilation with XenonRecomp and XenosRecomp. A new renderer written for Direct3D 12 and Vulkan replaces the console’s graphics hardware.
It adds high resolutions, ultrawide support, a 60 FPS default with higher targets, extra anti-aliasing and depth of field options, a new options menu, achievements and Hedge Mod Manager support. The Linux build is a Flatpak that also works on the Steam Deck.
It is a finished release (1.0.3); some glitches remain above 60 FPS and a few stutters come from the original game. The download contains no game data. It needs Sonic Unleashed for Xbox 360 (USA or Europe) and its title update, dumped from your own copy.
How to set it up
- Download the Windows zip or the Linux Flatpak zip and extract it where you want the game installed.
- Run
UnleashedRecomp.exeon Windows, or install the.flatpakon Linux and start it from your app menu. - In the installer, use Add Files for containers or images dumped from your Xbox 360, or Add Folder for the raw game files, and add the title update (and any DLC).
- The installer checks the files and copies them; afterwards the game starts from the title screen, where you can also add DLC later.
