Overview
NFSMW Recompiled is a native port of the Xbox 360 version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) for Windows, made by static recompilation with ReXGlue and drawn with Direct3D 12. A launcher sets resolution, internal scaling up to 4x, image quality, frame limiting and the graphics API.
It is playable with rough edges: it has run from the prologue into free roam, audio and saves work, and v-sync and frame limiting come from the project’s own patches. Multiplayer does not work, the Vulkan renderer is untested, and for now only the Spanish PAL version of the game is supported. The technical documentation and the launcher are in Spanish.
The download contains no game data. It needs Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) for Xbox 360, Spanish PAL version, dumped from your own disc.
How to Set It Up
- Download
win-amd64-release.zipand extract it anywhere. - Copy your disc image into the same folder, or a folder already extracted with
