Lost Odyssey
Lost Odyssey is a role-playing game developed by Mistwalker and Feelplus and published by Microsoft Game Studios, released in Japan in 2007 and worldwide in 2008 on four discs. It was directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, with music by Nobuo Uematsu.
Kaim Argonar is an immortal soldier who has lived for a thousand years without remembering most of it. As he recovers his memories, the game presents them as the illustrated short stories of the ‘A Thousand Years of Dreams’, written by novelist Kiyoshi Shigematsu.
Battles are turn-based, with a timed Aim Ring system that boosts attacks, and immortal characters learn skills from mortal companions. A native PC port made by static recompilation runs on Windows and Linux.
