Dante's Inferno
Dante’s Inferno is a hack and slash action game developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts in 2010. It is loosely based on the first part of Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, recast with Dante as a crusader who descends through the nine circles of Hell to rescue his beloved Beatrice from Lucifer.
Dante fights with Death’s scythe and a holy cross, and can punish or absolve the damned souls he meets, which feeds two separate upgrade paths. The game was often compared with God of War for its combat and set pieces.
A native PC port of the Xbox 360 version, made by static recompilation, runs on Windows.
