NocturneRecomp is a native port of the Xbox Live Arcade version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for Windows and Linux (x64 and ARM64), made by static recompilation with the ReXGlue SDK.
The recompiled game is wrapped in a small host runtime with logging, overlays and hooks, so it can be modded like a PC game. There are separate builds for the game with and without its title update, and recent releases add a native achievements screen and Japanese text.
The download contains no game data. It needs the Xbox Live Arcade package of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, dumped from your own console.
How to Set It Up
- Download the build for your system; the builds marked TU are for a game with the title update installed, the others for the game without it.
- Extract the archive and run
nocturnerecomp(nocturnerecomp.exeon Windows). - The first run asks for your XBLA package and extracts the game from it.
