Blue Dragon

Blue Dragon is a role-playing game developed by Mistwalker and Artoon and published by Microsoft Game Studios, released in Japan in 2006 and in the West in 2007 on three discs. It was created by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, with character designs by Dragon Ball’s Akira Toriyama and music by Nobuo Uematsu.

Shu and his friends from Talta Village gain the power to summon living shadows shaped like animals, and set out to stop Nene, whose land shark attacks their village every year. Battles are turn-based, and the shadows’ classes and skills can be changed freely between fights.

A native PC port, re:Blue, made by static recompilation, runs on Windows and Linux.
