After Burner Climax
After Burner Climax is an arcade flight shooter developed by Sega AM2, released in arcades in 2006 and on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network in 2010. It is the modern successor to Sega’s 1987 After Burner.
The player flies licensed fighter jets through fast, short stages, locking on to enemy aircraft and ground targets with missiles. A Climax meter slows time to lock on to many targets at once, and branching routes and hidden requirements lead to different endings.
A native port of the Xbox 360 version, made by static recompilation, runs on Windows and Linux.
