Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a beat 'em up developed and published by Midway for the PS2 and Xbox in 2005. It retells the events after the first tournament from the side of the Shaolin monks Liu Kang and Kung Lao, who follow Shang Tsung into Outworld to fight Shao Kahn.

It mixes fighting with exploration, with moves that throw enemies into hazards, and Fatalities from the fighting games. Two players can play the story together.
