What you need: A disc image (`.xiso`) of Dead or Alive 3 (USA) for the Xbox, made from your own disc.

DOA3 Recomp is a native Windows port of Dead or Alive 3. The original Xbox executable is translated into C with sp00nz's xboxrecomp toolkit and compiled as a 64-bit Windows program, following the approach of his Burnout 3 recompilation, with the Xbox's graphics translated to Direct3D 11.

The author reports every game mode as fully playable. The port adds an online mode for single and tag matches, a 60 FPS cap, windowed and borderless display, 4:3 or 16:9, and internal resolution scaling up to three times the original, about 1440p. An overlay opened with Escape holds the online options, controller mapping and the other settings.

The download is just the program. On its first start it asks for the player's own disc image, extracts the game files from it and sets up the save data.

## How to set it up

1. Download the zip and extract `DOA3.exe` into a folder of its own.
2. Run `DOA3.exe` and choose your Dead or Alive 3 (USA) disc image when asked.
3. Wait while it extracts the game files and creates the save data. This happens only on the first start.
4. Press Escape in the game for the overlay menu with online play, controller mapping and the other settings.
