Cxbx-Reloaded

Cxbx-Reloaded is an open source emulator for the original Microsoft Xbox, released under the GPL 2.0 licence. It continues the work of Cxbx, and like it relies mainly on high-level emulation of the Xbox kernel, with low-level emulation of the NV2A graphics chip and network hardware that came from the XQEMU project.

It runs on 64-bit Windows 7 and later and needs a graphics card that supports Direct3D 9.0c. It can also run on x86-64 Linux through Wine, although this is less reliable and does not work on macOS. Optional extras include network emulation through Npcap and USB pass-through for original Xbox controllers.

There are no stable releases. The builds here are the automatic pre-release builds the project publishes on GitHub. For most people, xemu is now the more compatible Xbox emulator.
