About the Game

Ultima VII: The Black Gate was developed by Origin Systems and published in 1992 for MS-DOS, followed by the Forge of Virtue add-on. Ultima VII Part Two: Serpent Isle followed in 1993. The Avatar returns to Britannia two hundred years after the previous game to find a murder in Trinsic and a new religion, the Fellowship.

It is known for a detailed, seamless world in which almost every object can be moved or used, with daily schedules for its people and real-time combat.
