Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was developed by 2015, Inc. and published by Electronic Arts for Windows in 2002, on the id Tech 3 engine. The player is Lieutenant Mike Powell, an Army Ranger working with the OSS, in missions across North Africa, Norway and France.
It is remembered for its Omaha Beach landing and its online multiplayer. The Spearhead and Breakthrough expansions followed in 2002 and 2003.
