About the Game

Chris Sawyer’s Locomotion was designed and programmed by Chris Sawyer and published by Atari for Windows in 2004. It built on the engine of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and is the spiritual successor to Transport Tycoon.

Players found a transport company and connect towns and industries with railways, trams, buses, trucks, ships and aircraft, through vehicles from the early 1900s to the present. Scenarios set goals against rival companies, and the game added a 3D-looking terrain with tunnels and bridges.
