About the Game

Gothic II was developed by Piranha Bytes and published by JoWooD Productions for Windows in 2002, with the Night of the Raven addon following in 2003. After the fall of the barrier, the nameless hero is sent by the necromancer Xardas to stop an army of dragons and orcs.

It is set in a far larger world than the first game, including the port town of Khorinis, and kept the series’ reputation for a reactive world and tough combat. Night of the Raven added a new region, Jharkendar, and made the game harder.
