About the Game

Fallout was developed by Interplay Productions and released in 1997 for MS-DOS and Windows. It is set in southern California in 2161, decades after a nuclear war, where the player leaves the underground Vault 13 to find a replacement water chip.

Characters are built with the SPECIAL system, and quests can be solved through combat, talk, stealth or science. Turn-based combat, dark humour and a world that reacts to the player’s choices made it a classic and began a long-running series.
