About the Game

Diablo was developed by Blizzard North and published by Blizzard Entertainment for Windows in 1996, with a PlayStation version in 1998. Sierra’s Hellfire expansion added a new class and dungeon areas in 1997.

The player picks a warrior, rogue or sorcerer and fights through sixteen randomly generated dungeon levels under the town of Tristram, collecting randomised loot along the way. Its fast mouse-driven combat and free online play through Battle.net made it one of the most influential games of its kind.
