blueMSX

blueMSX is an emulator for Windows developed by Daniel Vik and the blueMSX team. It emulates the MSX, MSX2, MSX2+ and MSX turbo R, as well as related machines: the ColecoVision, the SEGA SG-1000 and SC-3000, and the Spectravideo SVI-318 and SVI-328.

For many years blueMSX was one of the most popular MSX emulators, thanks to its easy interface, good compatibility and wide hardware support. It had a debugger, a trainer, a machine editor for creating custom MSX configurations, and support for disk, cassette and cartridge images.

Development stopped after version 2.8.2, and the emulator has not been updated since 2009. Its code lives on in the blueMSX libretro core for RetroArch, and the official website now hosts blueMSX Live, a version that runs in a web browser. For an MSX emulator that is still developed, openMSX is the better choice.
