Overview
Ultima I sends you to stop the wizard Mondain, who has made himself immortal with the Gem of Immortality. Your journey runs from towns and dungeons to a space flight, with an overhead world map and wireframe 3D dungeons.
Richard Garriott first released it in 1981. This is Origin’s 1986 remake with new graphics, which was also the first PC version.
How to Set It Up
- Install DOSBox Staging or another DOS emulator.
- Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
- Start DOSBox Staging and type
mount c "<folder>\Ultima1", where<folder>is where you unzipped the download, thenc:. - Type
ULTIMA.EXEto start the game.
