Overview

Styx is Windmill Software’s take on Qix. You draw lines across the playfield to fence off area while the Styx creature bounces around inside and sparks chase you along the edges, and you need to claim a set share of the screen to clear each level.

It came out in 1983 as a booter disk, and this copy runs from DOS.

How to Set It Up

  1. Install DOSBox Staging or another DOS emulator.
  2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
  3. Start DOSBox Staging and type mount c "<folder>\styx", where <folder> is where you unzipped the download, then c:.
