Snipes

Snipes is a text-mode maze shooter. You hunt down the snipes and destroy the hives that keep producing them, in a large maze that scrolls around you, while the snipes shoot back.

SuperSet Software wrote it in 1982 to test early PC networks, and its networked version is one of the first multiplayer PC games. This is the single-player version.

How to set it up

1. Install DOSBox Staging or another DOS emulator.
2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
3. Start DOSBox Staging and type mount c "<folder>\snipes", where <folder> is where you unzipped the download, then c:.
4. Type SNIPES.EXE to start the game.
