Monuments of Mars is a platform puzzle game set inside the alien structures on the surface of Mars. Each screen is a puzzle of switches, force fields and enemies. Todd Replogle made it before co-creating Duke Nukem.

3D Realms released all four episodes as freeware in 2009.

## How to set it up

1. Install [DOSBox Staging](/microsoft/ms-dos/emulator/dosboxstaging/) or another DOS emulator.
2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
3. Start DOSBox Staging and type `mount c "<folder>\marsfree"`, where `<folder>` is where you unzipped the download, then `c:`.
4. Type `MARS1.EXE` to start the game.
