Adventure (Colossal Cave)

Adventure is the original text adventure. You explore Colossal Cave with commands of one or two words, gathering treasures, solving puzzles and avoiding the dwarves, and score points for every treasure you bring back to the building above ground.

Will Crowther wrote it in the 1970s and Don Woods expanded it. This is a 1987 PC version.

How to set it up

1. Install DOSBox Staging or another DOS emulator.
2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
3. Start DOSBox Staging and type mount c "<folder>\adventure", where <folder> is where you unzipped the download, then c:.
4. Type ADV.BAT to start the game.
