ADOM is a roguelike in which you stop Chaos from overrunning the land of Ancardia. Unlike most roguelikes it has a wide overworld with towns, many dungeons, quests from the people you meet, and corruption that slowly changes your character if you linger near Chaos.

Thomas Biskup began it in 1994. This is version 1.1.1 from 2002, free to play under the terms in its licence file.

## How to set it up

1. Install [DOSBox Staging](/microsoft/ms-dos/emulator/dosboxstaging/) or another DOS emulator.
2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
3. Start DOSBox Staging and type `mount c "<folder>\ADOM"`, where `<folder>` is where you unzipped the download, then `c:`.
4. Type `ADOM.EXE` to start the game.
