4D Prince of Persia

4D Prince of Persia is a fan-made version of Jordan Mechner’s Prince of Persia, with new levels built from the original game’s graphics and engine. The prince still has an hour to climb out of the dungeons and save the princess, but the traps, guards and layouts are new and much harder.

It dates from 1994 and uses Brøderbund’s game data.

How to set it up

1. Install DOSBox Staging or another DOS emulator.
2. Unzip the download into a folder of its own.
3. Start DOSBox Staging and type mount c "<folder>\prince4d", where <folder> is where you unzipped the download, then c:.
4. Type 4D_PRIN.EXE to start the game.
