WinUAE

WinUAE is an Amiga emulator for Windows, developed by Toni Wilen. It is the Windows version of UAE, the Unix Amiga Emulator, and has been developed continuously since the late 1990s. Its emulation core is also used by several other Amiga emulators, including Amiberry.

It emulates every Amiga model, from the A1000, A500 and A600 to the A1200, A3000, A4000 and the CD32 and CDTV, with the OCS, ECS and AGA chipsets. It supports 68000 to 68060 processors with cycle-exact modes and a JIT compiler, PowerPC accelerator boards, graphics cards, network and sound cards, and a long list of other expansions. Floppy images in ADF, IPF and other formats, hard disk images and WHDLoad games are all supported.

WinUAE is actively developed: version 6.0.3 was released in March 2026. It is available as a 32-bit and 64-bit installer or zip archive, and it is open source under the GNU GPL version 2. You need Kickstart ROMs from a real Amiga or from Amiga Forever to run most software, although the built-in AROS ROM replacement can run some.
