Model 2 Emulator

Model 2 Emulator is an emulator for SEGA’s Model 2 arcade board, written by ElSemi, the author of the Nebula arcade emulator. It was first released in the mid-2000s and emulates the Model 2, 2A, 2B and 2C revisions.

Most of the Model 2 library is playable, including Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter 2, SEGA Rally Championship, Virtua Cop, The House of the Dead and Dead or Alive. The emulator uses Direct3D, supports force feedback wheels and link play between several PCs, and can be extended with Lua scripts, which the community uses for widescreen and other fixes.

Development has stopped: the last official version, 1.1a, was released in 2014. It runs on Windows only and is freeware, not open source. The official downloads cannot currently be tracked automatically, so this page has no download archive yet. The original site is no longer online, but it is kept in the Internet Archive.
